Executive Director Finance


Great opportunity to join one of the world’s largest nonprofit business organizations as the Executive Director Finance.  The position of Executive Director Finance oversees the financial operations in one of the organization’s $60 million subsidiaries.  The primary responsibilities will include annual budget development, monthly financial reporting, reforecasts to year end on a monthly basis, internal controls, vendor contract negotiation and management, and incurred costs.  You will resolve budget variances and issues surrounding vendors, allocations of funds across projects and funding in general.  You will be an advisor and counselor to the President of the subsidiary and the CFO of the parent organization in particular on matters pertaining to financial and budget performance.  You will maintain financial oversight of project managers and keep them informed as to budget performance and assist with all financial matters.  As the financial controller of the subsidiary you will act as a business manager, financial planner, and advisor and provide overall management as necessary.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

7-10 years demonstrated progressive financial leadership experience in corporate/public accounting with a significant contract management component

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

Bachelors in Finance, accounting or related field, Advanced degree a plus

CPA required

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills

Must be able to juggle several tasks at one time

Must be able to perform duties in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment

Diplomacy, customer service focus, team mindset
Discipline and ability to meet tight deadlines

 

COMPENSATION:

$130K to $160K

Our client, a large regional Public Accounting firm focusing on middle market clients, is looking for a Tax Partner to join its team.  As a leader in its tax department, you will use your high level tax consulting experience and management skills to oversee multiple projects and people teams. You will also use your business development and client management skills to cultivate client relationships into additional services and referral sources.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
Must have a minimum of 10 years recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax compliance and tax review experience.
CPA Required

Ability to deliver high quality, profitable services to assigned clients, while meeting or exceeding personal productivity objectives.
Excellent Communication Skills. Ability to communicate continuously with client and internal Managers, Partners, and the engagement team.
Ability to plan client engagements while providing expert tax consulting services.
Prior experience supervising and reviewing the work of team staff members. Provides timely performance feedback to team members; both formally and informally.
Identifies potential risk issues and acts to resolve them.
Possesses in-depth and current knowledge of tax laws and regulations, demonstrates understanding of IRS Practices.
Proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships with CFOs, Controllers, and mid-sized business owners
